β 4. Eligibility Criteria
4.1 Nationality
Candidates must be Indian Citizens. Additionally, citizens of Nepal/Bhutan, Tibetan refugees who settled in India before 1 January 1962, or persons of Indian origin who migrated from certain specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India may also be eligible (subject to a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India).

4.4 Number of Attempts
There is no limit on the number of attempts for NABARD Grade A. Candidates can appear every year as long as they meet the age and eligibility criteria in that year’s recruitment cycle.

7.3 Phase 3 β Psychometric Test
A mandatory qualifying stage introduced after Mains. It is MCQ-based, 90 minutes long, and assesses personality traits, behavioural strengths, and cognitive abilities. Marks do not count towards final merit β it is purely qualifying. Candidates who fail to appear for this test are disqualified from the Interview.
7.4 Phase 4 β Interview

- Phase 1 (Prelims β Screening): Online MCQ test of 200 marks, 2 hours. Qualifying sections must be cleared; only Merit Section scores are used for shortlisting. Phase 1 marks do NOT count in final merit.
